Legacy to Hold Home Buyers Workshop

With mortgage rates at record lows, there may have never been a better time to purchase a home. As a result, Legacy Banks is offering a workshop for anyone who is or will be in the market to buy a home. The program, entitled “Buying a Home in Today’s Economy,” will take place Tuesday, April 7, 2009 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Legacy’s North Adams Office located at 331 State Road. It is free and open to the community on a first-come, first-served basis.

The program will address tips to keep in mind when purchasing a home in a difficult economic climate, whether it is a first, second or investment property. Attendants will learn about the various mortgage programs available including MassHousing, FHA, First-Time Homebuyers Programs, VA loans, and other 100% financing options. Also briefly covered will be some benefits provided through the Housing Stabilization Act. In addition to a Mortgage Specialist, presentations will be made by a Realtor, Home Inspector and Insurance Agent.

Light refreshments will be provided, and pre-registration is required as seating is limited. Call 800-292-6634 to reserve a space by April 6.
