Foundation Contributes Over $335,000 in 2009
Pittsfield, Mass. – The Legacy Banks Foundation contributed over $335,000 to community organizations through Berkshire County, the Pioneer Valley and Eastern New York over the past year. With an emphasis in affordable housing; economic development; education; health and human services; civic and community; and arts and culture, The Legacy Banks Foundation distributed a total of $335,205.60 to non-profit organizations serving the community in 2009.
According to Foundation President Richard Sullivan, “We are very pleased with the level of support that The Legacy Banks Foundation has been able to offer this past year to non-profit organizations working hard in all of the communities that we serve. This is especially gratifying in light of the challenging economic conditions that we have and will continue to face. We are also extremely proud of the generous personal involvement of time, talent and treasure by our associates, which contributes to our role as a vital force in improving the communities in which we work and live. The Legacy Banks Foundation looks forward to continuing its strong community support in 2010.”
Established in 2005, The Legacy Banks Foundation provides support to many non-profit organizations working to enhance the lives of those who work and live in the communities of its branch offices.
