John Masten brings more than 7 years financial experience to his role in servicing the unique needs of the small business community throughout Berkshire County and Eastern N.Y. He joined Legacy Banks in 2005 initially working in branch administration, and has served in several positions before becoming small business loan officer in 2007. Prior to joining Legacy, Masten was an institutional asset administrator for AllianceBernstein in White Plains, NY and a finance analyst for Lehman Brothers in London, England.

Masten graduated magna cum laude from Siena College and holds a BS degree in finance. He is a graduate of the RMA Commercial Lending School and the Berkshire Leadership Program. Masten is a member of the Berkshire Leadership Program Steering Committee, serves as a Community Investment Volunteer for the Berkshire United Way, and is an active participant in Legacy’s Partnership in Education with Egremont School.
