Security Alert - Virus May Prompt Fraud Attempt

Please be on the look out for a computer virus that may cause a fraudulent screen to appear in the online Bill Payment window. The screen posts messages that attempt to trick you into providing sensitive information such as your account numbers and passwords - information the bill payment system already knows and you should not provide again. If a new screen appears out of context asking you to provide sensitive information, do not provide this information. If you're in doubt about the validity of a screen, please call customer service at 800-292-6634.

MasterCard SecureCode

One little code means a lot more security when you shop online!

SecureCode is the safer way to shop on the Internet with your ATM/Debit Card.  It works much like a Personal Identification Number (PIN) does at an ATM machine:  You create your own private code and then complete an authentication process prior to making purchases online.  Once your identity is confirmed, the transaction is completed and processed.

Click here to enroll in SecurityCode online.  You will be asked to prove your identity by entering your current ATM/Debit Card PIN before creating your own SecureCode.

Following this initial set-up, you can shop online with confidence at any SecureCode-enabled merchant.  Just look for the SecureCode logo. Visit the SecureCode FAQ's for more information, including a list of online merchants and a SecureCode demo.

Protect Your Computer from Identity Theft
Would you let strangers into your house when you're not home – potentially allowing them access to your valuables or your personal information? Well, if you do not protect your computer, strangers could enter and take valuable information, possibly destroying all of your files in the process. Computers need protection just as you would protect your home, car or other items of value. It is important to keep all of your software up-to-date and equally as important to safeguard your software. Here's how:
•Use a firewall to make it more difficult for hackers to access your computer.
•Use antivirus software to protect your computer against specific viruses and other dangerous software, such as worms and Trojan horses.
•Use anti-spyware software to detect and remove spyware from your computer.
Please keep these important tips in mind the next time you access the Internet. With the world becoming more technologically dependent and more global, it has never been more important to protect your personal information.
•Only install software from trusted sources and known origins. •Software sent via email is particularly dangerous for virus transmission.•Install and maintain Antivirus and Anti-Spyware software on your computer. •Update browser software to benefit from the latest security protections. •Pay attention to browser warning messages that indicate a security threat.
